About ‘Residència d’Investigadors’

Residence for Researches is a public association created in 1993 by the Spanish Council for Scientific Research and by Generalitat, Government of Catalonia.

The Residence for Researchers was created to fulfil two objectives: to offer researchers and scholars from all over the world, from all branches of knowledge and scholarship, a space where they can stay during their scientific stays in Barcelona; and, secondly, to promote scientific culture in order to spread it, disseminating the initiatives and results of the most relevant past and present research generated in the scientific field in Catalonia, Spain and elsewhere.

Very close to the Residence we find the following centers:

MACBA, CCCB, CSIC, I Institut d'Estudis Catalans, Biblioteca Nacional de Catalunya and the UB-General Secretariat

It is well connected to the rest of the city, through different public transport. The nearest Metro stop is Liceu, Line 3 and San Antoni Line 2.

How to reach Residència d’Investigadors?

The Residència d'Investigadors is located right in the centre of Barcelona. It is next to the famous Rambla del Raval, a multicultural neighbourhood and only 250 metres from Las Ramblas and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. It is also close to the Liceu metro station and only 200 metres from La Boqueria market. An exceptional location that allows you to easily visit the city of Barcelona!
